West Texas Tumbleweed Reporting on the Fashion Freedom Movement — Updates

The West Texas Tumbleweed has reported again on a very serious subject, fashion freedom. This is a movement that is directly related to the core tenets of the Phoenix Church: Creativity, Nonconformity, and Imagination. The beigist conspiracy continues apace, with its framing of all things neutral and conforming with the dullness that conspiracy has conflated with what it calls “good taste,” which is actually just an ultra-conformist push for uniformity. The anti-aesthetic is one we’re all too aware of at this point, wearing neutral tones, painting everything in neutral tones, making all effort to stifle any hint of individuality or personal freedom seeping through. Extra points given for prominently displayed brand labels. These vulgarians are in an all out war on “loud” color, eccentricity, bold aesthetic statements, creative use of fashion for self expression: anything, in short, that hints at individuality and personal freedom. So, Firebirds, get out there and resist. Put on some color, some  sparkle, some wild accessories, and show the beige conspiracy that you’re no dullard. Don the glorious plumage that lets everyone with eyes know that you care not for the counsel of their programmed insecurity and lack of courage in the face of dreary oppression. Let the Groove be with you dear Firebirds. Here’s a little inspo from a brighter time.

This video is instructive on the tenets of actual fashion, as opposed to the stale consumerist trash we're expected to buy and emulate, though the approach is in no way limited to the 1960s.

Wild fashion has continued to rock the world ever since, as evidenced all over the place until the attack of the beige conspiracy.

Keep the faith.
